🖋️ Sicilian Arancini
Arancini (in Sicilian "arancinu" or "arancina", we will continue to call them in the plural to avoid a war about them that has been going on for years 😂) are a specialty of Sicilian cuisine. As such they have been recognized and included in the list of traditional Italian agri-food products.
✍️ Historical notes
The origins of the arancino are much debated. Being a popular product it is difficult to find a reference of some kind on historical sources that can clarify exactly what the origins and processes that led to the current product with all its variations.
🍘 Going straight to the sauce
It is a fried rice ball, 8-10 cm in diameter and weighing 230 grams, and Frank will stuff it with, in fact, ragù sauce (as in its most classic version) or pistachio, norma, butter, spinach, spaghetti and mixed.
I bet your mouth is already watering, what are you waiting for? 🤤
